This app is a closed, internal business tool for SBZ Development Ltd farm staff only. There is no public registration. Only the Farm Administrator can create user accounts. Every user is a verified farm employee. We do not sell, share, or trade any data.
Overview & Introduction
SBZ Development Ltd ("SBZ", "we", "us", or "our") operates the SBZ Poultry Farm Management System (the "App") — a mobile and web application used exclusively to manage the day-to-day operations of our poultry layers farm in Ilara Mokin, Ondo State, Nigeria.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled within the App, how it is used, where it is stored, and the rights of those whose information is processed. This policy applies to both the mobile application (Android & iOS) and the web dashboard interface.
By using this App, you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you have any questions, please contact the Farm Administrator or refer to Section 11.
Scope & Who This App Is For
This is a closed, private system. The App is not available to the general public. There is no self-registration, no sign-up page, and no way to create an account without the Farm Administrator doing so on your behalf. You are using this App because you are an employee or authorised staff member of SBZ Development Ltd.
The App is used exclusively by the following internal roles:
- Farm Administrator (Farm Owner — one account per farm deployment)
- Farm Manager
- Inventory Officer
- Sales Officer
- Health Officer
- Accountant
- Farm Attendant
All accounts are created solely by the Farm Administrator using official staff details. No member of the public, no external user, and no third party can access or use this App.
Information Handled Within the App
Because this is an internal staff system, the information stored relates to farm employees and farm operations — not any external customers or members of the public. Below is a full breakdown of what is handled.

We do not collect: payment card details, national identity numbers, biometric data, location/GPS data, browsing history, contacts, or any information unrelated to farm operations. We do not collect any data from minors or members of the public.
How We Use This Information
All information handled in the App is used solely for the following operational purposes:
- Authenticating staff members and controlling access to the appropriate sections of the App
- Recording and tracking daily farm operations (bird stock, egg production, feed, health events, sales)
- Generating operational reports for farm management decisions
- Maintaining an audit trail to ensure accountability and record integrity
- Sending push notifications for work-related alerts (vaccination reminders, low stock, salary reminders)
- Managing staff attendance and payroll records
- Processing edit requests for locked operational records
We do not use any information in the App for marketing, advertising, profiling, analytics services, or any purpose unrelated to farm operations.
Data Storage & Security
The App's backend is hosted on Heroku, a cloud application platform operated by Salesforce, Inc. Heroku runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. As a result, data processed by this App may be stored on servers located in the United States or other regions where AWS operates data centres. By using this App, you acknowledge this arrangement.
Heroku's own data processing and security practices are governed by their privacy policy, available at https://www.salesforce.com/company/privacy/.
The following security measures are in place at the application level:
- All communications between the App and the server are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS — enforced automatically by Heroku
- Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed using industry-standard cryptographic algorithms
- Access tokens expire after 60 minutes; sessions are managed via secure refresh tokens
- Role-based access control (RBAC) ensures each staff member can only access data relevant to their job role
- All create, update, and delete actions are recorded in an immutable audit log
- The database is backed up automatically on a regular schedule
Data is retained for as long as the farm system is in active operation. If a staff account is deactivated, the account is disabled (not deleted), and all historical records associated with it are preserved for operational audit purposes.
Third-Party Services
This App uses a minimal number of third-party services strictly for operational functionality. We do not use any advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers.

For OneSignal, their privacy policy is available at: https://onesignal.com/privacy_policy. SBZ does not share any personal staff information with OneSignal beyond the device token necessary for notification delivery.
Your Rights
In accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and its predecessor the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), staff members whose information is processed within this App have the following rights:
- Right to Access: You may request to know what personal information is held about you within the system.
- Right to Correction: If your personal details (name, role, contact) are inaccurate, you may request that the Administrator correct them.
- Right to Deletion: Upon leaving employment with SBZ Development Ltd, you may request that your personal account details be removed. Operational records you submitted (production logs, health records, etc.) may be retained for farm audit and compliance purposes.
- Right to Object: You may raise concerns about how your data is being used by contacting the Farm Administrator.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact the Farm Administrator directly using the details in Section 11.
Children's Privacy
This App is intended solely for use by adults employed by SBZ Development Ltd. It is not designed for, directed at, or accessible to persons under the age of 18. No minor may be onboarded as a user of this system. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the App's functionality, or applicable law. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Revised" date at the top of this page and increment the version number.
Because this is an internal staff application, the Farm Administrator will notify active staff members of any material changes through the App or directly. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
